Scenic Sunday: Sagrada Familia
Para Carmen: Te deseo feliz cumpleaños y un año maravilloso.
My husband and I went to Barcelona for a long weekend two years ago and visited Gaudí’s famous unfinished Sagrada Familia cathedral. Work is still very much in progress on this beautiful building, but there is already much to delight, such as this stained glass window, photographed by my husband. Click to enlarge and really appreciate how the modern stained glass design plays with the light.
Scenic Sunday is hosted every week by Aisha. Click the badge below to see what others have contributed this week. Wishing you all a great weekend.

Stunning picture! I love those beautiful glass windows!//Eva
I love the eccentricities of Gaudi!
This is a beautiful picture. I normally don’t like modern stained glass so much but you’ve captured the light very nicely.
Very pretty! I love the blues & greens
Happy Scenic Sunday
That’s really gorgeous! I love the light coming through.
Really beautiful light and colours captured.
That is indeed really beautiful with the light shining thru like that. Have you been back since?
Beautiful.
Almost like a dream!
Oh I also want to go to Barcelona, sometimes in my life!
Beautful shot!
Have a nice day!
How beautiful, lovely light–stained glass is very difficult to shoot, as I’m sure you know! Didn’t make it to Barcelona, unfortunately, as we went South rather than North from Madrid! Guess will just have to go back…
The colors of the glass are fantastic and the sunlight that comes through really brings the whole scene to life. Hubby did good!
Hi Janice,
