Scenic Sunday: Daisy chain
What’s this? A whole Scenic Sunday post dedicated to the humble marguerite or ‘moon daisy’?
It all happened quite by accident. Perhaps there had been a light rain during the night, or maybe it was the mist and humidity this morning that left dew-like water droplets all over the marguerites in our garden. Either way, when I went out with my camera and macro lens I found quite a different set of flowers to the ones that had been there yesterday.
And it wasn’t long before I was hooked.
In fact, I went out again later with my son and asked him to dribble water from a jug over this flower while I tried to capture the droplets as they fell from the petals. It was incredibly difficult to capture the image at exactly the right moment!
So maybe by now you’ve seen enough marguerites? Or perhaps what you’re thinking is closer to ‘For pity’s sake! ENOUGH WITH THE DAISIES!’
I, on the other hand, feel like I’ve only just got going! I expect to be spending a lot more time over the next few weeks getting intimate out in the flowerbeds with my new best friends!

That last shot is so special.
wow at all of them!!!
Wonderful photos
Once you start with daisies and water you just can’t get enough photos. Looks like we were photographing daisies at the same time. I love doing photo shoots with flowers, they make the most wonderful models!
Have a great week,
Judy
I also like raindrops on flowers. Great photos!
In second from the top, the yellow pollen pods or whatever they are called…several are opening and revealing the inside…so ready for a honey bee or butterfly!
Wonderful drops on the daisies. Happy Sunday to you (though it might be Monday morning already, your time.)
Yes indeed, this sort of photography can be quite addicting. You have some wonderful images. I smile knowing the fun you are having.
Thanks everyone. I still have loads more of these to play around with. It was difficult to stop with the first batch, and then to choose which ones to include here…
Janice.
